With that said, Carter Hall provided a smoking experience more akin to one produced by smoking cigarettes than a satisfying pipe smoking experience.
Not that I mind fussing; it's the fiddliness of the hobby that I enjoy so much.I really can't add anything more positive than what has already been said below, except that I wholeheartedly concur.It is also great for working the ghosts of other blends out of your pipes.It burns and smokes just like PA, but there is a flavor in there that reminds me of beer, makes me want a sam adams.I now understand what is meant by a "smooth" smoke.
I found the cut to be fairly inconsistant, as well as poor grade tobacco seemed to be used as filler(large chunks and sticks).
